About
I am a self-taught Israeli painter. For me, painting is a way of observing the world and attending to what lies beyond its immediate appearance. Over the past decade, I have devoted my practice to developing a visual language shaped by landscape, the human figure, water and reflection.
My work explores the subtle and profound relationship between the viewer and the visible scene. I ask what spiritual and emotional dimension exists beyond the visual experience. I draw inspiration primarily from my journeys through Israel and abroad - landscapes, encounters, movement and observation that lead me again and again towards what escapes the eye yet remains deeply present in feeling.
I want my paintings to become gateways: not merely descriptions of place, but invitations into its inner reality. Water and reflection recur throughout my work. I believe the distortions created by reflection reveal the subject as it truly is - fractured, complex and alive. Through dispersion and fragmentation, a new, more essential coherence emerges.
In my paintings, water is not simply an object but a mediating space - a sensory and spiritual threshold that invites the viewer inward, not only into the landscape, but also into themselves.
